Recreating the hustle and bustle of a Hong Kong bar, with a nod to the venue’s seedy history through its stark red and black interior, LL Wine and Dine is a contemporary Asian restaurant that brings the best of Chinese, Japanese and South-East Asian cuisine together in shared plate dining.

Once the location of an illegal casino in the ‘60s and later an adult bookstore, the two-year-old eatery serves a selection of typical Asian dishes, but with a modern twist: grilled scallops with lightly smoked onion foam, date puree and pineapple and coriander salsa ($24); and crispy skin duck with homemade pancakes, plum and orange sauce ($29).

A Yum Cha menu, which was rated as one of the top ten in Sydney by Sydney Morning Herald, is served from 11am to 4pm on weekends. Dishes range from $7.50 for BBQ pork buns to $9.5 for dumplings or char sui pastry pie.
